The ability to engage honestly in the self-reflective process often determines our efficiency-level when working in professional settings, the quality of the interactions we have with our colleagues, the degree of meaningful connections we maintain with young people and their families and our willingness to exercise self-care when necessary. The act of integrating self-reflection as part of our best practice is not an easy process and therefore steps must be taken to enhance this skillset.

The purpose of this assignment will allow you to critically reflect on your own best practice, while integrating knowledge about the Code of Ethics/Standards of Practice outlined by Ontario Association for Child and Youth Care’s (OACYC). Your ability to thoroughly understand the ethical guidelines and apply them into your work is critical to the well-being of the individuals you are called to serve and to your overall success as a professional in the field of child and youth care.

The assignment must follow APA formatting standards and guidelines as it pertains to font style, spacing, title page, page numbers, headings, etc. Please ensure you make efforts to familiarize yourselves with APA requirements.

2. Describe in detail which sub-section in this Part resonate with you most and explain why this is the case (2 marks)

3. Express which Sub-Section in this Part do you think is the most important for CYC professional practice and explain why you believe this to be case (2 marks)
